When will my life begin....

I catch her running, barefoot, through the grass out of the corner of my eye. I stop and listen and the wind brings her giggles by me wrapped in song. She dances, feet barely touching the ground, as she twirls around in joy. I stop to treasure this moment. In this moment, I see a little girl, lost in a world of make believe and I am overwhelmed with love for her.

She sings, When Will my Life Begin, from the movie Tangled.

Look at the world – so close, and I’m halfway to it!
Look at it all – so big – do I even dare?
Look at me – there at last! – I just have to do it

Should I?
No.
Here I go..^

Just smell the grass!
The dirt!
Just like I dreamed they’d be!
Just feel that summer breeze – the way it’s calling me

For like the first time ever,

So I asked her later about the song she was singing. "What is that song about?"
She looked at me as if everyone knew this truth she was about to tell me, "It's about when Jesus comes to live in your heart."

She amazes me every single day.
