My team teacher and I have come to a theory recently that we must be doing something in our lives that the devil doesn't want done. We started out this school year with prayer. We meet once a week to pray for our kids and for strength (and the Lord knows we need it daily). We have dedicated our school year to God. He is in control of our classrooms (again the Lord knows we aren't). If you have read my post about A day like no other then you are pretty much up to date on what was happening to me and my car. Yesterday Ms. Davis greeted me with, "I think we are under attack." I agreed with her. Our days at school are continually getting more taxing and difficult. The kids are hurting so bad and need so much, but with 36 kids in each class, there is only so much we can do. However, this isn't what she was referring to. :(( Last saturday as she was driving home from a night out, one of her tires shredded. It wasn't just a flat tire, it completely shredded. She pulled her car to the side of the road and walked to the call box (she had accidentally left her cell phone at home as well). The call box wasn't working, so she then walked down the freeway to a gas station to make some calls. We are realizing that the devil can manipulate things in our lives and that the work we are doing in the lives of our kids (students) is not something he wants done. We are feeling his attack on our lives and ask all of you who believe in prayer to pray for us. We know we are doing God's work and the devil wants to stop us. We are not willing to let him. We also feel God's hand in our lives. In both of our 'accidents' we were both completely unharmed....our cars on the other hand...are now in the hands of mechanics.
Guide the hands of the mechanics Lord. Give Ms. Davis and I the strength and the hearts to continue doing your work in our school. :)
